Edible Academy

Description

The New York Botanical Garden's Edible Academy is a family-friendly, three-acre facility providing education, activities and programs. Children, families and the public are encouraged to come visit the Ruth Rea Howell Vegetable Garden, where hands-on gardening takes place in an effort to teach about sustainability and healthy living. Also on campus are a classroom building housing a kitchen, a technology lab, a teaching greenhouse and a terraced amphitheater. In addition to the gardening activities, kids and adults can enjoy cooking demonstrations and many other fun, educational offerings year-round.
