Franklin D. Roosevelt Boardwalk and Beach
Description
Built in 1935, this 2.5-mile boardwalk runs from Fort Wadsworth to Miller Field, offering concession stands, the South Fin Grill restaurant, restrooms, showers and other beach-side amenities. The boardwalk is also conveniently adjacent to baseball fields, shuffleboard and handball courts, fountains, a roller hockey rink and a fishing pier.
