Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club

Description

Founded in 1999, the Gowanus Dredgers help Brooklynites learn more about the history and environment of their waterfront areas—through activities like canoe tours of the Gowanus Canal, 10-mile waterfront bicycling trips, school programs and seasonal gatherings like the City of Water Day. The organization focuses on the shorelines in Gowanus, Sunset Park, Red Hook and Brooklyn Heights.
