Kings Theatre
Description
The historic Kings Theatre reopened its doors in 2015 as one of New York’s premier performing arts venues for both large-scale popular entertainment and local arts groups. The City-owned theater was originally one of the five lavish Loew’s Wonder Theatres built in the 1920s and, thanks to the redevelopment project, the state-of-the-art live entertainment venue with more than 3,000 seats is the largest of its kind in Brooklyn. It’s home to the beloved Hip Hop Nutcracker, featuring rapper Kurtis Blow, and has also played host to hip-hop legends Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and many more.
