Description
There’s no shortage of ice cream shops in New York City, but at Max & Mina’s, they do things a little differently. Brothers Bruce and Mark Becker named the shop after their grandparents, and it was their grandfather’s love for making all different types of ice cream—the recipes for which Bruce had found after he passed away—that inspired the business. Favorite flavors include rainbow cake, cookie monster, SpongeBob Oreo, hot cheese doodle and Fruit Loops—many of which taste best when eaten together. The interior of the Flushing shop is plastered with cereal boxes, bumper stickers and signs that match the fun and uniqueness of the flavors.
