Miller Theatre at Columbia University

Description

Located on the Columbia University campus, Miller Theatre is a modest, acoustically solid venue known for its student-friendly (read: adventurous) programming. The 688-seat theater was built in 1988—which means the space lacks the Beaux-Arts grandeur associated with other Columbia buildings—but Miller makes up for its humble ambiance with a consistently progressive performance calendar. Here you might find an edgy opera, modern ballet, displays of experimental turntablism or a performance of Radiohead covers by pianist Christopher O'Riley.
