Riverdale Presbyterian Church / Riverdale Choral Society

Every Wednesday at 7:30pm, this talented volunteer choral group gathers for practice at Christ Church in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. Priding itself on diversity, the non-religious, roughly 60-strong ensemble includes singers of varying ages and ethnic backgrounds. There’s no uniform level of musical training either; unlike at other high-level choruses, those who can’t sight-read are not disqualified from joining. A good ear, though, is required.
