The Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial & Educational Center is a cultural institution devoted to celebrating the lives, accomplishments and messages of Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz, his wife. Housed in the Audubon Ballroom where Malcolm X was assassinated, the museum is run by Columbia University and features archives and multimedia displays that honor these influential activists and continue their messages of social justice.
