Washington Market Park

Description

A favorite of the TriBeCa community that surrounds it, this park has remained a neighborhood priority since its onset. Originally established as Washington Market Community Park in 1978, it's now under the jurisdiction of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. Locals tend to its 60 community garden plots and play on the park's popular tennis and basketball courts. Free Wi-Fi is also available in the park, courtesy of Borough of Manhattan Community College.
