West 79th Street Boat Basin

Description

One of the City’s most popular (and in-demand) docking areas, the West 79th Street Boat Basin has been home to the boats of such luminaries as Frank Sinatra, Aristotle Onassis and Malcolm Forbes. The area is also a popular launch site for canoes and sailboats making trips down the Hudson, and it's home to the Boat Basin Café, an open-air restaurant which serves a menu of grilled burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and steaks during the warm weather months.
