Established in 1969, the Yogi Gupta Ashram—presenting the teachings of a revered yogi originally from Rishikesh, India—focuses on such essential practices as physical poses, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation, all of it shaped to the needs of individual students. Classes, mainly in Hatha Yoga and meditation, are reasonably priced at $11 a session and are offered five days a week at this quaint and peaceful Elmhurst, Queens studio.
