Um dos maiores músicos de jazz de todos os tempos, Charlie Parker, conhecido como “Bird”, chamado Alphabet City de lar. O festival deste verão, que foi realizado pela primeira vez em 1993, acontece durante três dias no Tompkins Square Park e no Marcus Garvey Park.
