O Lucille Lortel Awards por realizações excepcionais fora da estrada foi criado em 1985 pela Liga Off-Broadway. Os prêmios reconhecem a excelência no teatro Off-Broadway, honrando a contribuição inestimável de artistas para a comunidade teatral. Este ano, Carol Fishman receberá o Edith Oliver Service to Off-Broadway Award, o New Federal Theatre será reconhecido pelo Outstanding Body of Work e Alice Childress será incluída no Lucille Lortel Theatre's Playwrights’ Sidewalk.
