The famed Midtown complex holds a number of seasonal attractions, including its world-famous Christmas tree, the ice-skating rink below the tree and a City Winery pop up—with heated outdoor space, private domes and a rinkside café.

A large American flag hangs on the exterior of a tall, ornate Gothic cathedral with pointed arches and intricate stonework, set against a partly cloudy sky.

The City’s best-known Catholic church is open for tours and limited-capacity masses—and its neo-Gothic design is always an inspiring sight to behold streetside.

The annual holiday fair will be virtual this year, but many of the shops are still open for in-person gift-buying opportunities, and there's a one-day Thanksgiving Market on November 25 in Vanderbilt Hall, a chance for you to take home a dessert for the big meal.

A coin-operated binocular viewer on an observation deck overlooks a city skyline at sunset, with sunlight shining through a metal safety fence.

Manhattan's best-known skyscraper honors the season with holiday windows done in Star Wars–themed decorations, complete with Lego models, LED lights and video displays. This is a good time to remember as well that Buddy the Elf's dad worked at the Empire State Building.
