A night at this laid-back Alphabet City lounge feels like an upgraded version of drinks in your own living room. The vibe at Joyface is 1970s-rec-room chic: with wood paneling, carpeted floors, vintage couches and a waterbed for good measure. There’s no set menu of drinks, but the bartenders will happily concoct a dealer’s-choice beverage or a standard cocktail. More adventurous drinkers can try their luck by selecting a piece of paper with a random cocktail name written on it from a jar at the bar.
