O Correio Central do Bronx, que remonta a 1937, é notável pelos 13 grandes murais em suas paredes. As peças, inspiradas no poema de Walt Whitman "I Hear America Singing", retratam pessoas cotidianas fazendo os trabalhos que mantêm a cidade e o país funcionando. Eles foram finalizados em 1939 pelo pintor Ben Shahn e sua esposa, Bernarda.
