Fundada em 2008 pelo usuário de arte Glenn Fuhrman, esta organização sem fins lucrativos do Chelsea é especializada em shows de grupos selecionados de artistas contemporâneos estabelecidos e emergentes, e está localizada em uma ampla instalação de dois andares na vibrante Chelsea Arts Tower. Além de exposições temáticas, a FLAG apresentou pesquisas individuais de Ellsworth Kelly, Ashley Bickerton e Richard Pettibone.
