Also called Toñita’s, after the proprietor Maria Antonia, Caribbean Social Club harks back to a generation when Puerto Rican hangouts were much more common. Come here to enjoy cheap beers and a community atmosphere: lively Latin music, dominoes, and conversation. Don’t miss the home-cooked Puerto Rican food either, like pollo guisado (chicken stew) and rice and beans, which Toñita offers to all guests free of charge. Just remember to bring cash for the drinks.
