O chef Teerawong "Yo" Nanthavatsiri abriu a encarnação original de Pinto na Christopher Street, onde prosperou por 10 anos. Ele fechou o restaurante no final de 2016 e reabriu logo depois em um espaço maior na West 10th Street como Pinto Garden, encontrando nova energia e uma direção mais focada, mas criativa, para sua culinária.
