Simone Rocha

If Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll and the Brothers Grimm somehow started a fashion label, it might look like Simone Rocha’s. Whimsical, ethereal and gorgeous, Rocha makes clothes that seem like they may have first appeared in a storybook, a music box or perhaps a dream. Her New York City store, the first shop she’s opened stateside (the other is in London) is starkly white, with walls reminiscent of a museum. It’s a non-intrusive backdrop for Rocha’s beautiful designs, as well as artwork by Louise Bourgeois and Robert Rauschenberg.
