Description

When you enter Allswell, you have a feeling things will end well—the restaurant has an easygoing vibe, gentle lighting and interesting food and wine. A quiltwork of vintage wallpaper warms the snug room, framed by booths, banquettes and a generously sized wooden bar. Chef Nate Smith, an alum of The Spotted Pig, specializes in pork, aptly enough, sometimes making a specialty called Bath chaps, which are breaded pig's cheeks commonly served at pubs in Bath, England. Smith's menu varies every day and is displayed on a big chalkboard. Although meat-centric, there are always fish and vegetable choices to keep everyone happy. Brunch is served daily as well.
