Atlantic ChipShop

Out of Business

Description

A trip to Atlantic ChipShop is akin to a visit to a real English pub, which is what the owners were aiming for when they opened their first spot (in Park Slope, since closed) in 2001. The menu is pure British comfort food: fish and chips, shepherd's pie, mushy peas, bangers and mash and the like, with around 15 beers on tap—many of the British variety. Not a health-food establishment by any stretch, the ChipShop is also known for its deep-fried Twinkies and chocolate bars. Enjoy all of these while watching the latest rugby, soccer or cricket match, and you'll feel like you've been transported out of the City and across the pond.
