Barney Greengrass

Description

Barney Greengrass is the undisputed sturgeon king of New York. Alfred Hitchcock used to order 10 pounds of it at a time to be shipped to him in Hollywood. Since 1908, this institution's fish specialties have also made it beloved to locals, and it is often voted the City's number one deli. Soak up the old-school character of the place rated highly for shtick as well as Nova salmon on a bagel. Expect maddeningly long lines on the weekends.
