Bistro de la Gare

Out of Business

Description

Please note: this business is now closed; nycgo.com keeps record of many old and closed venues. Two female chefs—Maryann Terillo, who had a devoted following at Jarnac, and Elisa Sarno, who spent a decade at Babbo—have created a homespun bistro with everything homemade, from pastas to pâtés, specialty breads to desserts. The menu changes with the seasons and naturally focuses on their backgrounds in French and Italian kitchens. The small space is stripped down, with rows of mirrors and white linen–cloaked tables. It's a place where local Villagers gather for a quiet dinner, not for those looking for a scene. Look for lunch and weekend brunch to be added soon.
