Cafe Mogador

Description

This family-owned Moroccan restaurant has served NYC since 1983. What might seem like a casual coffee shop is actually pretty sophisticated when it comes to quality, and the prices are decent, too. Both the East Village and Williamsburg locations are true neighborhood hangouts—not places anyone talks about much, but the places locals keep ending up, almost as if by accident. Fair-trade coffee and organic eggs and milk are staples at brunch, and at night there's all manner of hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, couscous and tagine.
