Chalupas Poblanas El Tlecuile
Description
There’s nothing more “New York” than eating something hot, fried and delicious from one of the City’s many cherished street vendors. At this cash-only Mexican snack stand, a block east of Junction Boulevard, you’ll find fresh, saucy chalupas—tortillas cooked in lard and topped with shredded pork, onions and salsa rojo and verde. If you’re exploring Queens, it’s a can’t-miss bite, but note that they are only open on weekends.
