If you're going to name yourself "Cheep's" and plant yourself in this particular stretch of the East Village—where inebriated throngs hunt at all hours of the night like zombies who crave not brains but affordable fried foods—you'd better mean it. Cheep's does: you're not going to find many cheaper options than its hearty $2 falafel sandwich, which is, by most accounts, well worth the investment.
