Chefs Club Counter

Out of Business

Description

Chefs Club Counter is an all-day cafeteria featuring the greatest culinary hits by a rotating roster of renowned chefs. Think of it as Now That’s What I Call Food, Volume 2. This offshoot of the more formal Chefs Club, also in Nolita, is for grab-and-go meals or grabbing a table in the sunny space, where light filters through slatted blinds. The culinary director, Didier Elena, is an Alain Ducasse alum and has an eye for talent. Among the stars he’s spotted is Alvin Cailan, founder of Eggslut in LA. His delicious egg sandwiches and coddled egg with creamy potato purée in a jar draw lines out the door. Lunch might feature a Jean-Georges Vongerichten–designed cheeseburger or Portuguese-style duck rice from George Mendes.
