De Islands

Out of Business

Description

The owners of De Island hail from Grenada, and their own brand of West Indian/Caribbean cooking shines at this tiny neighborhood spot. Local specialties like goat curry and roti are to be expected; on Saturdays, you can get a unique Grenadian dish called “oil down,” a savory mix of coconut milk, plantains, salt cod, goat meat and callaloo (a preparation of leafy greens featured in a variety of Caribbean cooking).
