Elias Corner

Description

The sign says it all: “For fish.” Inside there’s no menu, but there is the freshest swordfish, octopus, squid and other ocean delights—procured fresh each morning and grilled simply with lemon, herbs and olive oil. Don’t know what you want? Just point at the glass case. Or better yet, let your waiter decide. And make sure he snags some Greek standbys, like horiatiki salad, taramosalata or grilled sardines. The rear dining room is more relaxed but don’t expect a lot of frills. They don’t need them: Elias Corner has been popular with Astorians for years.
