Fieldtrip - Harlem

Description

JJ Johnson’s FieldTrip is a counter-service café dedicated to heirloom strains of rice served in a bowl with global flavors. For example, nutty Carolina Gold rice makes up the base for a bowl of crispy chicken nuggets slathered in sweet barbecue sauce, edamame and greens. Shrimp is paired with sticky rice and green curry, while the veggie bowl comes with basmati and cooling cucumber-coconut yogurt. All rice is freshly milled, and there’s an emphasis on sustainability and ethical sourcing for the vegetables and proteins.
