Description
Goggan features simple, authentic regional food from different parts of South Korea prepared by a Korean chef. The restaurant takes its inspiration and its name from a folk tale about a 19th-century French admiral and his crew who are shipwrecked in South Korea and fed by a local farmer and his daughter, who empty their goggan (or food crib) for the stranded sailors. The restaurant presents its meals in the atmosphere of an eclectic fin-de-siècle Parisian cafe, marrying the menu selections to the season.
