JoeDough

Out of Business

Description

Joe Dobias and Jill Schulster are the mom and pop behind this cute little shop, sharing their family snapshots on the walls and making a variety of incredibly good, creative sandwiches from unimpeachable ingredients. They built a reputation for quality and quirkiness at JoeDoe /venues/joedoe, their bistro on East 1st Street, then spun off this sandwich concept, an instant neighborhood hit. Where else will you find the After School Special (white bread from Tom Cat Bakery, fried bologna and chips)? Or how about the Stoner's Delight, giving grilled cheese an ambitious boost by melting together Cotija, queso blanco and cheddar? On the catering menu are 3-foot and 6-foot-long heroes, enough to feed a Super Bowl crowd.
