Description
Over the years, Mario Batali has cleaned up his act a bit, losing weight and advocating a more vegetable-based diet. That means vegetarians were not overlooked when he and partners Joe Bastianich, Lidia Bastianich and Oscar Farinetti opened Eataly, an Italian food hall like no other. Le Verdure celebrates vegetables in all their forms—raw, grilled, roasted, fried, dipped in bagna cauda—and the selection changes seasonally. The restaurant highlights a different region of Italy for specials each month. Le Verdure is located near the intersection of housewares, the bookstore and the vegetable butcher and doesn't accept reservations.
