Leyla

Description

Leyla is an attractive Mediterranean brasserie at the base of a brownstone on the Upper West Side. The gently lit bar is a pleasant place to pull up for a glass of Turkish wine and flatbreads (on the menu as pide) from the brick oven, variously topped with three cheeses and truffled honey or short rib and eggplant spread. The dining room is a comfortable setting for lingering over zucchini fritters and slow-cooked lamb shank with porcini orzo risotto.
