Nargis Bar & Grill

Out of Business

Description

Uzbek food is pure comfort, a Turkish and Indian-accented version of Russian cuisine. At Nargis, try samsa—poppy-seeded, flaky pastries stuffed with lamb, beef and onions (there’s also a vegetarian version with pumpkin and aromatic spices). Meat pies, steamed dumplings and coal-grilled kebabs of chicken, lamb or fish, too, arrive in generous portions. This Park Slope offshoot of the original Sheepshead Bay Nargis has an inviting bar on one side and a pleasant, low-lit restaurant on the other.
