Out of Business

Description

Cobi Levy, a hotshot designer and restaurateur, brings this high-end sushi and sashimi restaurant to a sophisticated SoHo loft. He hired Hiro Sawatari, a vet of Sushi Yasuda, to handle the raw stuff and Josh DeChellis, of La Fonda del Sol, to consult on the cooked dishes. Sushi lovers are advised to put themselves in Sawatari's hands for an omakase experience. Those of the "I like my food hot" persuasion should look for black sea bass with lily bulb and pickled ramps or mustard-glazed short ribs in a beef jerky dashi (broth). To drink is a stellar sake selection and a Western-style wine list. Be sure to look up at artist Jim Drain's striking glass, brass and wood mobile dangling overhead.
