Oscar's American Brasserie

Out of Business

Description

Please note: this business is now closed; nycgo.com keeps record of many old and closed venues. Within the walls of the Waldorf Astoria New York sits Oscar’s, an American brasserie named for former maitre d’ Oscar Tschirky. Tschirky was a staple of the hotel from the time of its original home in 1893 where the Empire State Building now resides, to the Park Avenue location where it moved in 1931 and still remains today. Oscar’s continues to use recipes created by its namesake, but despite the decades of existence for these entrees, Oscar’s signature dishes are anything but tired.
