Polonia Eatery
Out of Business
Description
Polish food isn't as easy to find in the East Village as it used to be, so thank your lucky stars that Polonia has managed to survive the neighborhood's ebbs and flows since 1989. It excels at homey breakfasts, hearty soups, pierogi, kielbasas, potato pancakes and blintzes, but the restaurant's owners have tried to modernize by adding truffle fries and ostrich steak to the menu. You can also come here for a basic burger and beer. It's a neighborhood place, casual and comfortable, catering to students and seniors and everyone in between who's looking to save a dime.
