Out of Business

Description

Please note: this business is now closed; nycgo.com keeps record of many old and closed venues. This restaurant offers a seasonally driven menu with an emphasis on steaks, chops and East Coast oysters. The culinary experience here is particularly heightened by the interior design, a cross between an art installation and movie set that was built to look as though it were 200 years old. The eatery specializes in hosting truly one-of-a-kind, customized events and supper clubs in one of the five artfully curated spaces within the restaurant. The venue, built from upcycled materials and featuring local foods, also places sustainability at its forefront, and the proprietors are planning to emphasize that with a dramatic set piece: a piece of ice hand-carved from a glacier in Greenland, preserved in a massive freezer at the center of the restaurant.
