Description

The Pan-Asian food here encompasses Filipino, Korean, Cantonese, Keralan, Vietnamese and Indonesian home cooking, brought together by a husband-and-wife team, Romy Dorotan and Amy Besa, who gather recipes as they gather friends. For 10 years they had a similar restaurant in SoHo, Cendrillon, and have now moved their operation to an appreciative Brooklyn audience. The bamboo-detailed restaurant is a warm and welcoming place to tuck into tamarind shrimp with caramelized onions, Filipino deep-fried pork belly and pancit, a traditional rice noodle dish with chicken, pork and vegetables.
