Racines NY

Out of Business

Description

Racines means "roots" in French, so don't make the mistake that it has something to do with Racine, Wisconsin. Michelin-starred executive chef Frédéric Duca was recruited to recreate his Parisian wine bar in TriBeCa with partners David Lanher, Arnaud Tronche and David Lillie, an owner of natural-wine specialist Chambers Street Wines. Racines NY is far more than a wine bar, however, the seasonal, labor-intensive food revelatory and worth the expense. There will always be vegetable variations with seafood, poultry and lamb dishes, but there's one aspect that is truly French: sauces so intensely delicious you might yell if anyone tries to remove your plate before your bread has sopped up the last bit.
