Red Peony

Description

Red Peony (formerly a satellite of Joe’s Shanghai) is a good find in Midtown for Chinese cuisine. The bi-level space is furnished with velvety red chairs and white linen-covered tables. It has a broad menu, too, which encompasses dim sum (get the crab and spinach dumplings), classic hot and sour soup, Shanghai-style steamed soup dumplings and numerous pork, poultry, fish, noodle and fried rice dishes. The price points accommodate both frugal patrons as well as blowout, celebratory gatherings.
