Saint-Louis Restaurant

381 Lenox Ave, New York, NY, 10027

Description

Taking its roots (and its name) from the old colonial capital of Senegal, Harlem’s Saint-Louis Restaurant serves authentic dishes like thiébou djeun, dibi, théibou yapp and mafé lamb along with French and American favorites. The restaurant is open daily, with rotating lunch specials, favorites of which include the daily joloff rice, Tuesday’s domoda fish (whole fish or fish balls with vegetables in a creamy tomato sauce) and Thursday’s sakha-sakha (lamb and fish stewed in a cassava leaf sauce). The casual interior has seating and is welcoming for an eat-in meal, or you can opt to take your large portion of traditional Senegalese food to go.
