Seamore's - Little Italy

Out of Business

Description

Big picture windows flood this sunny storefront with light during the day, so it's easy to imagine yourself sitting on a dock, tucking into the catch of the day, instead of at the corner of Broome and Mulberry Streets in Little Italy. Owner Michael Chernow, cofounder of megahit Meatball Shop, has another sensation on his hands. Seamore's focuses on locally caught, underutilized fish in terrific tacos and sandwiches. The whitewashed brick space shows restraint with nautical touches (some fish imagery, anchors and splashes of aqua), the seating a mix of communal tables, two-tops and barstools. Salads are another strong point. Accompany your crispy skate sandwich with pickled peppers, but nothing beats the crunchy and soft sweet potato fries.
