Shake Shack—Midtown East

Description

Hungry commuters can curb their preboarding snack cravings at this train-terminal outpost of Danny Meyer's beloved burger chain. Located in the lower-level dining concourse, the ninth NYC outpost offers signature items like Angus beef ShackBurgers, Shack-cago Dogs and hand-cut fries. Keeping with Shack tradition, the satellite also features a location-themed custard flavor: the GCT Crunch-ellation (vanilla custard, Valrhona chocolate crunchies and toffee pieces), named for the station's iconic ceiling. For beverages, ShackMeister Ale is available in 12-ounce to-go bottles—that should perk up those delayed MetroNorth rides.
