Teany

Out of Business

Description

Teany is teeny, but the name has more to do with tea—the impressive tea booklet holds more than 90 loose-leaf choices as well as iced teas of the day and Teany's signature bottled teas infused with blueberry, hibiscus or ginseng. The menu focuses on vegan and vegetarian fare, with granola, oatmeal and baked goods for breakfast and a wide selection of soups and sandwiches at lunch. Gluten-free diets are easily accommodated. The casual, contemporarily designed café was founded in 2002 by Moby and his then girlfriend Kelly Tisdale, who now exclusively runs the show. A fire closed it down in 2009, and a full renovation brought it back to life in 2010.
