Terrace in the Sky

Out of Business

Description

Please note: this business is now closed; nycgo.com keeps record of many old and closed venues. Terrace in the Sky is a rarity for Morningside Heights: A sophisticated restaurant that also boasts a stupendous view, thanks to its unique location on the top floor of Columbia’s main library, Butler Hall. (Rooftop seating is open when weather permits.) To the north, you can spy Harlem and the Bronx, and south, the college campus and the northern boundary of Central Park. The food is a mix of French with American flair, including Branzino with a tomato confit and an onion marmalade; a squab breast with braised rhubarb; and a lamb provencale with fennel and olive puree.
