The Commodore
Description
The Commodore's section of Williamsburg has become quite the hub of activity, with the Knitting Factory, Fette Sau, Spuyten Duyvil and St. Anselm nearby. At The Commodore it's all about retro cocktails (Tom Collins, sloe gin fizz, old-fashioned), funky music and superior bar food. Meats are organic, drawing carnivores to well-executed hamburgers with bacon and cheese, pork-du-jour sandwiches and fried chicken thighs matched with a biscuit. A variety of seasonal sides include black-eyed pea surprise and rainbow chard, unusual for what looks like a humble corner tavern in a small town.
