Description
The stars aligned when a skilled, inventive chef, Sohui Kim, and a talented, resourceful carpenter, Ben Schneider, fell in love and got married. Together they created the Good Fork, now reborn as the Good Fork Pub, a cherished restaurant in Red Hook whose reach extends far beyond its waterfront enclave. Schneider constructed a maritime space with personality: birdcages, vintage lamps, a lovely garden in back. Kim honors her Asian heritage with excellent pork and chive dumplings and Korean fried chicken. She does not neglect primordial American tastes, also offering a fusion cheesesteak and a juicy burger. The restaurant's name is fitting, a translation of the Italian phrase for "foodie": una buona forchetta.
